Women Without Men
by Shahrnush Parsipur
Sleeve design with Short Story by Anousha Payne

Anousha Payne is a London based artist who’s often allegorical artwork allows us to cross a watery border with her. This limited edition sleeve features a watercolour inspired by Sharnush Parsipur’s collection of surreal short stories which focus on the lives of modern women with a mission in contemporary Iran - the book, once a best-seller has since been banned. Moral dillemas, a woman that roots herself as a tree, characters and creatures that forge a bridge between this world and the next with humour, imagination and bravery as forces for resistance! ‘Grandmother’, a short story by Anousha is printed here for the first time and we could not be more honoured to send these two artists together. Pre-order or find it in select bookshops.
